In January 23, I went on a visual research trip to India to visit various projects in the Sundarbans, with a primary focus on photographing afforestation initiatives. I was eager to capture the approach and the positive impact that these projects are having on the environment and the people. On the third day in India, I found myself standing ankle-deep in plastic waste on a waste management facility. One Thing I didn't realized when I planned my trip, plastic waste could add a really interesting aspect to my photographic project. My Project began to oscillate between these two topics. Planting Trees as contribution against climate change and collecting plastic as a big step towards a cleaner and more sustainable world.
